‘Invisible to You’ turns queer pain into a pop statement.

Fedge’s latest single doesn’t just shimmer, it stings. With Invisible to You, the queer Taiwanese American artist transforms the pain of fetishisation and invisibility into a glittering synth pop anthem built for the dance floor.

The track blends 80s inspired production with cutting, emotionally raw lyrics. It’s a song for anyone who’s ever been desired in private but dismissed in public. For those treated as a fantasy, a fetish, a stereotype, but never seen as real. It’s pop with a pulse and a protest.

“At first, I thought this song was just about one guy who made me feel small,” Fedge explains. “But the more I wrote, the more I saw a pattern. How I kept shrinking myself to fit what other people were willing to hold. Not too loud. Not too soft. Just enough to be wanted, but never enough to be chosen. This song helped me reclaim the parts of me I had learned to tuck away.”

Lines like “Exotic for you, erotic for you / Don’t wanna be a narcotic for you” cut straight through the shimmer, calling out how queerness and race are often commodified, desired but sidelined. With echoes of Robyn’s Dancing On My Own and Chappell Roan’s Good Luck, Babe!, Invisible to You turns quiet hurt into bold release.

This is Fedge’s second single, following Too Early, Too Late, a softer, more wistful track about misaligned timing and unspoken feelings. Together, the two singles build toward his upcoming debut EP Through It All, due this fall. It’s a body of work that tackles heartbreak, self worth, and finally stepping into the light.

Fedge’s music is tender but confrontational, cinematic but direct. Invisible to You isn’t just meant to be heard. It’s meant to be screamed, danced to, and owned.

The single is out now on all major streaming platforms, check out the visualiser below:
