Fools Arcade step into a defining chapter on ‘Somewhere In Between’.

Leeds alternative indie outfit Fools Arcade return with Somewhere In Between, a four-track EP that feels less like a snapshot and more like a turning point. It’s a release that sharpens everything the band have been building toward - emotionally, sonically, and creatively.

Rather than offering easy answers, Somewhere In Between sits comfortably in uncertainty. The EP explores the spaces where doubt and hope exist side by side, reflecting the messier, more honest parts of everyday life. It’s in these in-between moments that Fools Arcade find their strength, crafting songs that feel lived-in rather than over-polished.

Across tracks like The Buzz, So Much Time, The Fear and The Fall, and All She Wants, the band show their range without losing cohesion. Each song arrives from a different place, some built from early lyrical ideas, others forming naturally through rehearsals, but together they create a project that feels intentional and complete. The Buzz, in particular, has already become a standout, translating effortlessly from rehearsal room to live setting.

The EP was recorded in Garforth, Leeds with producer Dominic Bennison, whose collaborative approach helped push the band beyond their initial ideas. The result is a collection of tracks that feel dynamic and expansive, while still holding onto the raw edge that defines Fools Arcade’s sound.

Lyrically, the EP reflects on growth without pretending it’s straightforward. There’s an awareness that clarity doesn’t always arrive when you want it to, sometimes it shows up slowly, through experience, contradiction, and change. Fools Arcade don’t rush those moments, allowing the songs to breathe and evolve naturally.

Formed in Leeds, the band - Adam Smith, Tom Hinchcliffe, Ryan Burke, Joe Priestley, and Thom Wilding, bring together long-standing musical relationships and a shared commitment to emotionally driven songwriting. Their connection is especially clear in their live performances, where the weight of these songs fully lands.

With a run of well-received singles and growing momentum heading into 2026, Somewhere In Between feels like a statement of intent. Alongside the EP release, Fools Arcade are set to bring the project to stages across the UK, including an upcoming show at Belgrave Music Hall and festival appearances throughout the year. Somewhere In Between finds Fools Arcade embracing the grey areas and in doing so, stepping confidently into their next chapter.
