Seafret reborn: ‘Love In Reverse’ marks a new era.
Fresh off the back of a breakthrough moment with their KT Tunstall collaboration “Five More Seconds” – a track that landed them on the BBC Radio 2 A-list, Absolute Radio’s Track of the Week, and the Absolute 20s B-list – Seafret return with “Love In Reverse”, a classic dose of heartache, honesty, and lyrical finesse. Released 29th August via Nettwerk, it’s the Bridlington duo at their most devastatingly sincere.

True to form, “Love In Reverse” finds Seafret doing what they do best: wrapping raw emotional weight in soaring melodies and open-hearted lyricism. It’s a song about trying to salvage the ruins of a relationship, knowing the damage is done but still aching to go back anyway. “We loved writing this song,” Seafret share. “It’s about a relationship that’s ended in ruins and admitting you’d go to hell and back if it meant you could bring even a tiny part of it back to life. A true Seafret style song!”
Written with the cinematic flair and emotional immediacy that have made them beloved worldwide, “Love In Reverse” continues a creative rebirth for the Yorkshire two-piece. Following the viral resurgence of their 2015 hit “Atlantis” – now boasting over a billion streams after finding new life on TikTok, Seafret are experiencing a second wind, riding a wave of acclaim and momentum a decade into their career.
This summer sees the band take their cathartic live show global, with a Latin American tour hitting São Paolo, Buenos Aires, Santiago, and Mexico City, before returning to the UK in September for a coveted run of support dates with James Morrison.
